Richard Rohr speaks and writes of an expansive God with many names across the faith traditions and among those who don’t associate with any tradition. He often uses the name Love to encompass all. Rohr also speaks of the presence of the universal Christ in all of creation, much like St. Francis spoke of finding “God in all things”. While Rohr identifies as a Christian, he does not limit this universality to the Christian faith or language, but to all the faith traditions and all of creation.

If we saw all of creation through the lens of sacredness, would we live differently? Would we steward our resources differently? Would we truly love our neighbors as ourselves?
Everything has been given to us for its stewardship, to meet our needs, for us to befriend and love. Everything carries a spark of the Divine. Can we see it, in the spectacular and the ordinary?
In the beginning…
