This weekend, I will accompany a couple students from church to Chrysalis, the Metro D.C. Lutheran Synod Youth Ministry retreat for high schoolers. While there, I will function as one of the small group discussion facilitators. I have lost track of the number of times I have attended in this role—but the first time I went, but Paul was only 2 years old at the time and I have only missed a few years.
I spent a bit of time this evening at the dining table after dinner preparing myself for this event by reading through the SGF curriculum guide. Looking forward to again sharing my faith with youth from all over the greater D.C. area. It is an exhausting, but highly rewarding, experience.
