The word for today is not church, but “your church.” My initial thought was probably the same as nearly everyone else working on this list–take a picture of the structure in which your congregation worships. But that is not the church. That is the church building. Church is the people with whom we worship, not the bricks, mortar, and stone in which we worship.
And for me, core to this experience of church is the sacrament of communion. For a moment each week, we attend church not just with our congregation. We span time and space and worship with all Christians—past, present, and future.
